Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace

Zainab is an Indo-German Yoga teacher currently based in Föhr, an island in the North of Germany. A mother of two boys, she has lived, studied and worked between New Delhi and Heidelberg. In 2017, after the birth of her second son, she quit her job as a school teacher and fell headfirst into the world of Yoga, Ayurveda and Aromatherapy.
She completed her first Yoga teacher’s training (Ashtanga Vinyasa) with Seema Sondhi in New Delhi followed by Yin Yoga under Savira Gupta, and Yoga Therapy under Tara Goswami. She is now a 500 Hr Yoga Alliance registered multi-style Yoga teacher.
She taught vinyasa-style and Yin classes at “The Yoga Studio” in Hauz Khas, New Delhi, before relocating to Germany(Wyk auf Föhr) during the 2020 pandemic after which she took on the exciting new venture of opening 'Zainab Yoga'. In her studio, right by the southern beach in Wyk, Zainab offers yoga classes in English, varying between dynamic Vinyasa flows based on the Ashtanga Primary series, Yin-Yang sequences, core-strengthening, working on flexibility, arm balances, inversions, back bending and partner yoga therapeutics. For those looking for a more spiritual outlet, Zainab has been trained in Yoga Nidra (meditation), Pranayama (breathwork) and Mantra, by some of the best gurus in India.
Each of Zainab's yoga sessions are one-of-a kind and the classes are curated depending on the group dynamics, student level, her mood, time of the year and so on…
Zainab’s playful teaching style is balanced and comes from the heart. Through connection, Yoga, rituals, self-care and meditation, Zainab is always working to be the most empowered, mindful, loving and balanced version of herself - which is what she hopes to inspire her students to do. She is ever-curious, eager to learn, and to share her knowledge and passions.
Yoga is for everyone, because yoga expects absolutely nothing from you, except to celebrate you being YOU.
